I bought these as a Christmas present, December 2024. The jar was cellophane sealed. The sweets inside appeared to be wet and outer covering of blue and purple sugar beads were pale. The wetness looks like the sugar beads had dissolved into a light syrup. The aniseed jelly didn't taste like aniseed. Not enjoyable at all. I have bought these before and they were OK. This batch seems to be faulty. I wish that I had read previous reviews about these sweets from this manufacturer. There doesn't appear to be any response to the critical feedback from other customers. I have now found better quality and value at 'Oldest Sweet Shop In The World'.
